Real family life in the rural world

Mama Mia Taralina

Several years ago a friend brought a pan of Taralina and it was a hit around our house.  I made some changes to the recipe and added some new flavors to it.  This recipe has become one of my go to meals to share.

1 lb ground beef

1 lb italian sausage

2 14.5 oz cans diced tomatoes

1 small bag frozen corn

1 small onion, diced

3-4 cups shredded colby & monterrey jack cheese (if you want a little more spice used pepper jack)

1 small bag of pasta, I like Rotini

salt & pepper to taste

Brown and drain meat.
Cook and drain pasta according to package directions.

Combine meat, onion, tomatoes, frozen corn, pasta and half of the cheese.  Bake @ 375 for 15-20 minutes.
Remove from oven and top with remaining cheese. Bake an additional 5-10 minutes.
